Washburn Lends Support to Regional Transportation Management Organization |

Bellevue, WA, September 2008 – TransManage recently asked Dixie Crockford, Vice President of Washburn Communication, to speak to local employers on the benefits of providing multiple commuting options to employees. As an arm of the Bellevue Downtown Association, TransManage works with the downtown Bellevue community—including local government agencies, businesses, and citizen groups—to explore and develop transportation solutions for commuting to and through the city. As part of its mission, the organization raises awareness among Bellevue employers of county and regional transportation programs and services, such as FlexPass. Through this program, employees qualify to receive a generous daily allowance for commuting via King Country Metro and Sound Transit buses and trains. In her remarks to representatives from area companies, Crockford specifically referenced the FlexPass program as a key benefit offering, especially for small and growing businesses. Earlier this year, TransManage invited Crockford to serve on its Board of Directors, citing her active support of the Bellevue Downtown Association and her enduring commitment to providing employees at Washburn Communication with stress-free, eco-friendly commuting options. Says Crockford, “It’s an honor to work with this organization. They’ve made it easier to extend a full range of transportation alternatives to our employees over the years.” ### |
